On the glass of my tank are these tiny, I mean VERY tiny white worm things...What are they and where did they come from. My 20 gallon established and the 55 gallon that I am cycling both have them. Could be cause I am using filters and water from the old to cycle the new?

those worms are just from too much nutrience in the water, doa water change or two and you should be all set, i think they are called planaria
Are these harmful to the fish? So you are telling me too much food?? Or could the aquatic soil be a culprit? So sorry I am asking so many questions but I am new at this, Be patient please.
I had these worms in my tank a couple months ago while my tank was still cycling. I believe they are caused by overfeeding. I'm not to sure how they got there but I know they thrive on the rotting food in your gravel. They are not harmful to your fish, so it's nothing to worry about. Just do some gravel vacuuming and ease up on the feeding and they will go away. I bought some Ghost Shrimp while these little critters were still in the tank and they were eating them like crazy.
They're not harmful and I bet EVERY established tank has some in there living in the gravel. If you're only finding one here and there, I wouldn't worry too much and they're a great snack for the fish. If you're finding larger crops of them then you do have too much nutrients in there and a good gravel vac and cleaning would be a good idea.

I have these in my tank from time to time and they've been great for my molly and platy fry. They're the perfect sized snack and the fry love em. That being said I realize they appear because I let something get out of balance a bit in my tank.

I agree, I have so many different things growing in my tank it is crazy!!! It is a good thing, it is more replacating an ecosystem with free live treats for your fish
