Hey,

I plan on setting up a tank with some Limnopilos naiyanetri aka Thai Micro Crabs. I know they are pretty shy and friendly, but do you think they would be in danger with assassin snails? Also do you think there would be a problem with C02. I currently have the DIY setup (Yeast, Sugar, Water). I do not have a bubble counter I am just using a diffuser.

Thanks
Doug

Firstly, I am jealous! I can't find a source for these in Canada right now. Argh!

Secondly, they should be fine with your assassin snails. I've kept assassins and dwarf shrimp together successfully for a long time now and have never had any problems. The one thing that I have noticed is that there are never any baby assassin snails in the tanks with shrimp--I suspect the shrimp are eating their eggs. Not a big deal, just something I've noticed.

Last but not least, I run C02 on one of my shrimp tanks and have not had any problems. I can't imagine your thai crabs would be any different. Good luck and post pics when you get them!
