Supreme HOB's

I had a Supreme AquaKing HOB - thing had a 1/4 HP motor that kicked serious butt...thing lasted 15 years with only modification being replacement of the impeller shaft - had my father-in-law(machining supervisor) make one out of brass. Believe they are out of Islip, NY if I remember - it was a small company that you could call and get parts, etc...

I still have it downstairs - couldn't part with my baby.... :(

supreme aquaking

I have some supreme aquaking parts;filter box, tubes, 2 new replacement shafts....I really liked this product it lasted for 17 years before the motor went....I have not found a better filter that has kept my tank as crystal clear
If someone is looking for these parts let me know.....

I have a Supreme Super King with a 600gph output. Bought it from That Pet Place in Lancaster, PA four years ago but I don't think that they sell them anymore (no longer in catalog). Awesome filter with large media box and nice aeration feature on the outlet return, water current is used to pull air through a hole and into the water flow. It can be frustrating restarting after water changes though, the inlet tubes have to be filled with water and place into the media box without getting air bubbles into them. Also, the filter pad lays within a grate on the bottom so the motor and alternative media has to be removed before changing it. It's not difficult but just a pain compared to removing veritical filter pads from other HOBs. The motor has Eugene G. Danner MFG., INC.; Central Islip, N.Y. on it.

On a side note, does anyone know how to oil the motor. The booklet that came with it said to oil the motor every 6 months but I can't see where the oil would go.

aquaking

I currently have aquaking running on my plant tank. The best filter ever made in my opinion. I have had every filter known to man and nothing compares.
