Hello everyone, I recently bought a 110 Gallon tank and my plans are to planted and recreate an amazon theme. The tank dimensions are 5 feet in lenght(60") X 1.5 feet front to back(18") X 2 feet high(24"). I plan to by the necessary equipment within the next few days. I'm going to buy a Aquarium Pharmaceuticals RENA Filstar XP 3 Canister Filter, fine gravel, Seachem Onyx Sand, Red Sea Root Therm 400 Heating Cable mainly for the plants and a Hydor Theo Submersible Heater - 400 Watt. I plant to run the tank for 3 weeks with only the plants and then add 3 to 4 fish the first week. Is there any equipment I'm missing? I will be adding a CO2 reactor but is it necessary to adding right away? I was looking at the Aqua Medic Aqualine Co2 Reactor which is good for tanks of upto 125 Gallons. However it requires a water pump with a flow rate of 20 to 50 gph to operate. I know this is a lot of information but any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. What plants should I buy first? Should I buy fast growing plants first and then add slow growing plants? Again any help will be great :)

Get the C02 going and set to the level you want, then add the plants. Load up on fast growing plants and you will break the tank in without as much of a chance of a large algae outbreak.
