I was wondering what else I can put in my 15 gallon tank with the neon tetras I have. I noticed as I was vacuuming the substrate, that a lot of food went down uneaten. So I was thinking if it was a good idea to say... get some bottom feeders, or snails, or shrimps...

I feed my neons tropical crisps, granules, dried shrimp, and bloodworms. They seem to accept the bloodworms more readily than the rest of the food. So I might be getting flakes next time I go to petco.

I have some plants in my tank - not heavily planted but with good lights.

Any recommendations? Suggestions? Comments?

P.S. This tank is 5 years old. Don't tell me I need to cycle it. -_-

If there is a lot of uneaten food on the bottom, then you should think about feeding less.Adding more fish to a 15 with 10 tetras isn't the best idea,IMO.
You could get a snail and some dwarf shrimp.I love shrimp. They are as fun to watch as the fish.Red cherry shrimp would probably work out fine. There is always someone selling them on the classifieds here, and they are pretty easy to keep IME.They reprouduce like rabbits for me.

if there is alot of uneaten food, i'd reccomend feeding less

Thing is, once the granules, crisps, etc fall on to the bottom, the tetras seem to lose interest on it/dont see it. I feed them once every two days, so I really doubt I'm overfeeding them.

Mine don't.
I have cherry barbs, corydora, black neon, and emperor tetra with mine, and no problems.
