Steampunk anyone?

the other day I went to the renaissance festival, and i saw these people there dressed in what they called "steampunk", it was so freaking cool. so now, im wanting to make myself a steampunk costume, im wondering if anyone else here holds this same interest and could give pointers
 
Steampunk is wonderfully fun! I've been to several Steampunk Balls, and they are an absolute blast. Find yourself a good pair of goggles and and a big pocket watch and you can steampunkify just about any costume :)
 
I've heard of it, but never really seen much (no ren fair's here)... take a look at Etsy's steampunk selection, lots of inspiration. I see a lot of stuff that I'd want to wear normally.. :p:
 
I love Steampunk. There is a ton of stuff out there ranging from clothing to furniture to movies, books and LARP's.
 
i have a pair of lab goggles that i want to mod and make into some steampunk goggles and ive been looking at that etsy store, its amazing. Im thinking of modding my nerf maverick to make it look like a steampunk styled weapon. im really wanting to get a top hat to complete the look but unfortunatly i cant find any for a good price so i might make my own

ya instructibles is pretty beastly when it comes to projects. i had seen the goggles one but not the top hat one, i must say, im quite pumped about this tophat one
