I am starting a new six gallon in my office. It is the Eclipse 6, with a surface area of 16"x 7".

I already have it planted with several Brazilian sword and anubias Nana.

I am considering having 3-6 neon tetras with one dwarf gourami, or just having several cardinal tetras.

Any thoughts or other ideas?

I love Cardinals, my favorite Tetra.

Could a pair of Dwarf Gourami go in a tank that size?

I have a 5 gallon )US) tank at work which I was going to put a Betta into it but could a Dwarf Gourami or a pair of go in a tank that size?

get a bigger tank

You could have 3-4 female platys, Shrimps would be ok in that tank,id say u might get away just, with a pair of dwarf gouramies, black phantom tetras are ACE!, maybe a trio of golden pencilfish? a pair of ram would be nice they have real character. Possibly a betta, Most killifish stay 2-3 inches. I love guenthers Nothobranch! u could getaway with 2-3 flagfish. maybe 5 guppy? a pair of Halfbeak look really cool! There are many cories out there my fav is the peppered cory and the elegant cory. maybe a dwarf sucking catfish. 3-4 Coolie loach are quite interesting! 2-3 zebra danios are energetic little guys!

i could go on forever!!

hope this helps.
