Hi everyone !
I purchased some spirulina powder from a LFS to feed my Amano Shrimp larvae, when I mix the powder with tank water in a clear bottle and let it sit for about an hour, the water turns completely blue. I know that spirulina is a blue-green algae but I'm not sure if the water is supposed to be that blue and it got me a bit worried.
Does anyone know if the blue is ok? Or is there something wrong with the powder?
Thank you in advance !
Shirley
*I also posted this in the brackish water forum but it seems pretty quiet over there, so I'm trying my luck here... if it's not ok then please remove the original post, thanks !*
