Hey
Well quick story bought one sleeper gobie from the LFS and put him in my tank. He is beautifully coloured and sifts the sand like crazy but doesnt eat any food that i put in my tank. i saw that the LFS had two so i coulnt resist getting him so i put him in my tank and as soon as i did the other sleeper swam right by him like on his back then that afternoon he just took a big bite on his tail and that gobie just went under a rock. when he finally came out he had no signs of injury expect a big white mark on his side. now the other gobie just keeps attcking him and sends the one gobie under the rock and hits his tail across his face to push him under the rock. then they both were hanging on each others backs then the one would attck him again.

What the heck is going on. is he bullying the other fish or is this what tjey always do. the newest gobie at lest ate a tiny bit of flakes so i am abit happy.

Sounds like the existing goby is keeping his territory clear..will more than likely settle down...presume this is in the 400l tank?? I hope you have a very well established sand bed, with having two sifter gobys in the tank...

Yes the sand bed is established and the one eats flakes anyway so he doesnt need alot from the sand. they are both the same species as well.

There's your issue then...What specific species of sleeper goby are these..??
