Hello, getting back into the hobby after a close to 15 year hiatus. BF found my old 15 G in basement last year and suggested we set it up. I did a fishless cycle, we,ve lost only two Rummy-nose tetras in the last year. Now about a year later we have 3 tanks :) 1 45G 1 15G and 1 20G. We have had two Male guppys that were originals in the 15 G and were peaceful towards each other yet would show off to each other almost constantly. Then I noticed the smaller one ( I call him Rusty) had a really extended belly and was not flirting like he normally would... I separated him into a hospital tank and treated with aquarium salts and offerred blanched peeled peas. He was not interested in the peas. Day or two later our other guppy got super bloated too. Now they have both been in the hospital tank for almost six weeks. No pineconing, no improvement, the bigger guy, call him Silver, swims around like normalish but is a bit bloated yet. but little Rusty hides and while he eats flake food he is severely bloated and not swimming right. Constipation bloat really don,t know but I care very much about my fishes. Tank parameters are within... ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nirate 20ppm weekly water changes... Guppys are eating flake food. All other fish in the original tank are healthy and vibrant and. Is it just normal guppy stuff, or should I put him out of sufferring.

Please help
Katherine

Silver is quite bloated too, but seems more normalish than little Rusty, just severely bloated :(
