Hey everyone,
I've been asked to set up a 10 gallon freshwater tank at my universities library. The owner had a single goldfish for quite a few years but he passed away last summer. Now she wants more than one fish, colorful, active, and able to withstand a small temperature flux (maybe 75-80 throughout day). I'll be doing all the maintenance on the tank (I currently have 3 tanks of my own, including a reef tank...plus I take care of 7 500 gallon aquariums on campus...so I know my stuff).
BUT, I just want to make sure there won't be any compatibility issues. Besides, I'm so used to saltwater now that I'm not as comfortable with my freshies any more, lol.
Here is what I was thinking:
2 Dwarf Gouramis (Colisa lalia)
2 Otos (Otocinclus sp.)
3 Neon tetras (Paracheirodon innesi)
Eventually we'll get some easy plants such as java fern and moss. What do you think?
