second nature whisper power filter replacement cartridges... what size???

i bought a second nature whisper power filter used off craigslist for 12 bucks for my 20gal... or is it a 10 gal? idk lol. but yeah i went to search for replacement cartridges online and apparently these filters come in different sizes so now i dont know what kind i need to buy...

in small print on the top right of the lid all it says is cat.6910 6001-016
the motor says model T2 as well as a bit of other info.

other than that tho, only other info on the filter is the numbers 6002-001 and a list of the patent numbers

plugged those two listed numbers into google and got nothing
 
Google whisper enrgizer T2. Most likely TetraTec Pro II cartridges should fit or DIY.

If memory serves, Whisper C, 1, 2 & 3 should take same size Bio-Bag.
 
diy sounds funner but i think ill buy a cartridge first so i can see how they run and s stuff...

I just got one of these filters with a tank. I have also been looking for info on parts and media. I just looked at my clear lid and if you look at the section where the intake tube goes, there should be an embossed number on the lid. Mine has a number 1. My pump/motor has an energizer T2.

After a lot of internet searching, it appears my filter is a Model 1 which appears to take the same filter cartridges as a Whisper 30. I'm pretty sure it should take the large (formerly regular) filter cartridges.

Keep us posted on what you find.
