Anyone know if Seachem's Neutral Regulator works well? Anyone know how it works (i.e., explain the chemistry)? The tap water here has a pH around 9.4 or 9.5... I had been using Sodim Biphosphate to bring it down but that's not a very accurate process plus, this Neutral Regulator stuff says it removes chloramines as well (which I have in my water).
Which leads to another question... when it neutralizes the chloramines, is it with the same effect as Prime (i.e., turning it into a compound that offers a false positive for ammonia but is still a viable nutrient for the ammonia-chomping bacteria)?
Thanks,
~Snowy
