Hi Guys,

I have a prizm skimmer (I know, I know, it's crap but I can't afford £120 for a remora atm). It's the deluxe version with the media basket in the outflow. I was wondering whether I could put Rowaphos in the basket to save putting a cannister or reactor on my system which is already very cramped, equipment wise.

Thanks, Matt.

Yup, just put the rowas in a filter bag and rinse of course, but should work great in the basket. I bet the basket/rowas does 10x more than the skimmer. You may want to put a bag of Purigen in the basket as well if it will fit.

Thanks Ace. I figured it should be ok and it will be exposed to a good turnover of water. I actually find the prizm is an ok skimmer if well maintained and tuned but that's another thread! The basket's quite small so I don't think purigen would fit as well. My main issue is phosphates so i'm trying to target reduce that hence the rowaphos.
