I do not know why but every time I get a rainbow shark or red-tailed shark in my tank they always die after a year. I do not know why. I tried putting zucchini, broccoli, lettuces, spinach and cumbers but they would only take a few bites then leave. Even when I put bottom feeder pellets they would just "suck" on it for about 15 seconds. Yesterday one of my rainbow sharks had ick all over him and kept floating to the top. Today he died and the other rainbow shark disappeared. I did a water change and could not find him. None of my other fish are sick or anything. I think I am never going to get red-tailed sharks and rainbow sharks ever again. Another example is a few years I had a red-tailed shark he was growing big and was healthy then out of the blue he dies. Again none of my fish are sick and my parameters, temperature, etc. are good. WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING?!

We've tried to help you several times, you need a better idea of how to stock & care for your tank. & how to listen.

Ick is a disease that infects & kills. So why haven't you treated for that well enough to fix this issue? IME ich is 1 of the easier diseases to treat. It's not food competition, it's your lack of care & wrong stocking, step up or get a new hobby.

Yes, harsh, but I'm not the only 1 tired of your trolling with issues that anyone should have understood & done something about by now. Good luck to your poor fish.
