Anyways,
I got a new Betta fish and she has these red
Splotches on both sides of her face. They are not open sores but they look more like red bruises. She is acting normal , active, exploring the tank, swimming straight. Her fins aren’t ragged. I got her because she was so so so tiny compared to the other females (I’m thinking maybe she’s a lot more juvenile than The usual bettas for sale.)
She’s only about an inch and a bit long
So cute. Anyways, her fins are bright red in some parts so I’m wondering if maybe that’s just her coming into her normal colouring, or if it’s some kind of burn, injury, disease. I’ll post a couple pics just from my phone I’m hoping they’re enough.
Btw tank is 10 gallons, been fully cycled (have had it up and running with neon tetras for a couple years) I do normal 25% water changes, condition the water, change filter inserts regularly, there’s no ammonia on test strips and the temp sits at around 25.1-25.5 degrees Celsius. Any insights, comments or anything is much appreciated... thanks everyone. <3
