I just got 2 new goldfish. Yesterday I noticed "bubbles" along the top, or sticking to my floating plant. I was curious to if these could be eggs? They are very small, like a pin head. (and by research i saw eggs are that size about)
any answers? thankyou!

Could be. Do you have an airstone or other bubbling device in there blowing on the plants? If not, you've got eggs! :)

nope, no air stones. its actually a goldfish bowl, and i dont have any significant filtering items or anything. something i got for my little sister, and when i bought her new goldfish, couple days later i ended up finding the possible eggs. My dad thought they were bubbles, but they are patchy in some areas, and a good amount is attached to my floating plant. I will have to wait and see if they start to develop and look for black dots. Then once i see that, i will get another tank to take care of the eggs in. It would be exciting to have babies swimming around

i got my first goldfish from biology.. and its kept in a half galon-gallon bowl with a live plant, gravel and rocks. i mainly got it for my little sister, and if things workout good i want to get a tank. a 10 - 20 gallon one.

That's fairly poor logic. You only want to give it decent living conditions if it does well in really terrible living conditions? Even a 20 gallon is too small for a comet to live comfortably. Also, a small comet would not be mature enough to lay eggs. You're looking at bubbles.

I agree with getting that fish a proper home, like more towards 55gal...I feel bad for the poor little guy having to live in that carppy little bowl :(

Highly unlikely that they are eggs. First you have 2 gold fish in horriable conditions each needs at least 20 gallons a peice at the bare min with a min of 2 water changes a week. Second if its in a bowl its not sexualy mature a sexually mature comet would be to large to be in a bowl so i would look into something else other then eggs perhaps post a pic to help identify. Poor goldies if only reasearch was done before someone jumps onto getting something they know little about. Get them a real home or give them to someone who can and maybe think about a betta fish in an appropriate size tank
