question about correct top for Petco/Aqueon 40 breeder

I just picked up a 40 breeder on the $1/gallon sale at my local Germantown Petco. But they were out of the glass tops. Is the below on the correct one?

This is a great tank btw I am going to use it as a live rock nursery tank.

Looks to be the correct dimensions, I lucked out when I got my 40b from petco back during the june sale scored the last aqueon top they had.

Slipgate, the link you posted is for a Perfecto/Marineland glass canopy.

You need an Aqueon/All Glass Versa-Top glass canopy.

Does the brand matter if the dimensions are correct?

If the dimensions are correct, it doesn't matter which brand you use.

I have never been able to get an Aqueon glass canopy to fit a Perfecto/Marineland tank. They are usually just an 1/8" too small or too large (I can't remember which) to fit on the tank trim ledges.

Good news! I just found and bought one of these at one of my local aquarium stores that had 1 (very dusty) left in stock. $50! So arguably, this $1 sale is BS. The tank is normally sold for $130 with the top and light. So with the sale it is $40. I paid another $50 for the top, that leaves $40 for the light. Which is about what they sell these lights for. I should have just gone ahead and got the 75 gallon tank with top and lights for $175 on sale. But oh well.

Dude, take your glass top back, order this light and have it "open topped". That's how I have mine set up with no worries.
