A while back one of my male dwarf puffers had what looked like a white pimple on his head but it was there for as long as I can remember. I just got home from being gone for a few days and I noticed his whole head was covered in these white pimples. I've had ick before but this is bigger then ick, plus there has been no new fish in many months and none of the other fish have anything on them.
What do you think?

Maybe it is the same type of display that Goldfish show when they are ready to spawn?

What are the options of diseases to choose from?
Ic, velvet or maybe fish lice?
I have never seen velvet of fish lice before, can either of these effect just one fish? What I mean by that is can it spread or get worse on one fish with out spreading to another fish?

well I have seen 'pimples' on cichlids..usually related to HITH

starts as a pimple like pustule.

can puffers get that?

I don't know..I have only seen it in cichlids

It doesn't look like fungus, unless there is a fungus that looks like a bunch of little raised white spots.
I have also seen bite marks on some of them but a bite mark looks like a bite mark. Like if you bit down on your arm, you can see the shape of their little mouths.

i think puffers may be able to get HITH, since not only cichlids can develop it. many marine species will develop HITH if the water quality is failing
you may be correct.

the physiology of the fish may help to determine this.
I have not studied dwarf puffers and offered an observation regarding the 'pimples'

in any regard.

HITH/HLLE
can be related to , water quality, diet and parasitic outbreak.

any or a combination of the three.

food for thought.
