My guppy is pregnant.. can anyone tell me how close or far she is from giving birth? Oh and is pooping a lot a sign?

wow she looks pretty dang pregnant, i couldnt tell you hoe long because when my guppy had babies i thought she would have them in a couple weeks..... she had them three days later! hope everything goes well!

I've never paid enough attention to my guppies to be able to tell you for sure. I can say that the gestation (pregnancy) period is about 28 days.

She looks pretty pregnant, but I would let her have free reign of the tank still. Check her daily, and when she "boxes" off, then you can seperate her. You mmay also feel the need to seperate her when she starts hiding alot, thinking of places to have her babies.

Well, I know for human females it is.

Boxing off means she will go from round to box shape when she really gets close.

So pooping a lot is a sign that shes close?
