Pond Liner and Glass

After seeing soo many great ponds I have this crazy idea. I want to build a wooden indoor pond which consist of a pond liner but here's where the crazy part comes in. I want to put a glass viewing window on it so my question is this. Would the glass be able to stick to the pond liner using some kind of sillicon? Would this be efficent? I have seen plywood tank and concrete pond that has a viewing window but never seen a pond like i have described so can anyone give me some input on this please?

I have thought of that but im not very handy wit the whole coating idea but it's cool. i know what i can use now and it's epoxy.
 
I believe Mojo did a viewing pane on his indoor cichlid pond, think his link is aquamojo.com. Some one on koivet.com also has a post about their indoor tank with a window - if you visit koivet do a seach for indoor tanks and it should come up in there some where. Both I think used plexi-glass/acrilic. You'd need to use a gasket with silicone to make a water tight seal between the liner,pane,and exterior or the tank, same way you would installing a skimmer.
 
But Arylic and Plexiglass doesn't bond well with sillicon? Also TJ you are the owner of the "backyardpuddle.aquaria.com correct?? Nice Tanks you have there.

It seems like koivet.com is down or something. I cant get to their website.

Yup, that's me, and thanks.

It's not the pane that needs to adhere it's the gaskets - I've used silicone on acrylic before and didn't have any issues...? I suggested plexiglass/acrylic instead of glass as you can use these being quite a bit thinner than you would glass for your purpose - to handle the water pressure. When koivet comes back online (been down since yesterday morning) I'll see if I can't fine the post for you.
 
Thankz for the finding the post. Amazing Pond he built. I can see that he used screws beside sillicon to hld the window in place. Does the screws have to be covered in sillicon later on to prevent any leaking when the pond is filled??
