Last time I checked, it was hiding behind the filter

I recently got 3 Polka-dot loaches under the name "Angelicus Botia" which I checked is commonly sold under. I added them to my tank yesterday night. I recently cycled it. I did everything I was suppose to - letting the bag float so the temperature could slowly equalize, same for PH, not dumping fish store water into the tank. The weird things is that only one of them is hiding a lot, the other two are swimming up near the surface and diving down again (is this normal?) with each other.

Are any of my mistakes serious?

1 - When I was netting the last loach from the bucket into the tank, I had to chase it for a while until I could get it.

2 - I forgot to turn on the heater back on after the water change - When I put the loaches in, it was 77, when I woke up in the morning to check it was 74.

Only one of the loaches is hiding a lot, the other two swim noramally with each other within 30 minutes of turning off the lights.

Oh yea, none of them seem to notice the waterhmelon clip of freeze dried mysis shrimp I feed this morning, is this normal for them?

Tank Info - cycled 29 gallon w/ terra cotta pots
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Ph - 7.1

It's normal.

How long did it take you to finally catch the fish?

A bit low but there are cases worse than this.

You said you added them to your tank the other night. Be patient until they settle well in your tank.

It took me a couple minutes to catch the last loach - I tried feeding them flakes this morning - no good. Should I buy sinking pellets/algae wafers instead?

Also, maybe I should be breeding snails for them. They are about 1 inch big, will they be able to eat mystery snails?

Try something more tempting such as bloodworms. Feed him bloodworms only twice a week though.

Yes. Invertebrates are naturally in their diet.;)
