ANyone have experince keeping a large volume of these plants?
THinking of putting in 25-30 plants. I dont know anything about CO2 levels, Fertilizers, or substrates. Right now tank just has gravel bottom. Its a large tank and I want to make sure I get the conditions right before I start planting.

These are a popular plant and can grow real quick! Some let them float, I prefer the look of them planted in the gravel. I like to plant them as bunches of 3 to 6 stems. Peel off the bottom leaves on each stalk before planting - you don't want the leaves to rot in the gravel, so have bare stalk planted only. I use Root Tabs under each bunch of plants in the gravel, and add liquid fertilizers too. If you add too much ferts you end up with a tank full of algae, so you need to figure out how much wattage of lighting you need for good plant growth, and if you want to add CO2 which helps out a lot on growth!

This plant is now more commonly called Anacharis. :)
