Hi ya'll!

My pink female convict cichlid is hiding near the resin stone arch.
I noticed her hiding and sometimes fanning her fins (I think pectoral fins), and when I knock on the glass she will look out, come and retreat. Only her boyfriend will stay near the glass.

When I have been doing the maintenance, my hand was near their first spawning site, where they had their first eggs together, and them both have been biting my hand! Jerks!
Coincidence? Nope!

I think they spawned again, but I still need few words from cichlid experts.

Their first eggs were fine for like two days, and then the eggs got fungus and were all eaten by mother.

Congrats!
Did they span on the same place?

Excuse me. span = spawn

That seems like pretty normal behavior for many cichlids. LOL, keep your hand & siphon out of their area!!…& once they breed they may never stop!
Mmm, yeah. I really have to clean the algae from every side of the tank. I will get killed by them! ?

Congrats!
Did they span on the same place?
It's in my first post dum

Actually... OH MY GOD!
I said that everything is in my first post! ?
A picture would help. No, not the picture you have in the first post. A current picture

I just want to help.

I don't need a picture of the fish. Just one/some or the area they are hiding in/by.
