I noticed a huge outbreak of ICH at the Pet Supplies Plus IN Saint Marys GA, my LPS / LFS. The associate, being concerned once I mentioned it, I brought it to the managers attention. The Manager, while I was not in view told the associate that all fish had ICH and that only if the ICH was extremly bad would they not sell the inindividual fish, but would otherwise sell as normal.
I find this to be boarderline-fraud. Even with a meager 7 day warranty.
I looked at one tank and saw a FW puffer that was covered in ICH and then looking outwards noticed that over 3 dozen fish in 4 seperate banks of tanks had the ICH outbreak.
In practice do most pet stores stay on top of the well being of the fish or do they treat dead fish as lost stock and simply write it off as a lost profit?
