I have a peacock eel that has devoploped a sore on its tail. Its tail has turned white and the skin is peeling away. Anyone know how to help? I would like to save it if possible.

Keep your water spotless clean, vaccuum that gravel and keep nitrates under 10. Watch the spot, if after a week in this water it hasn't started healing, write back. (Make sure ammonia is 0, nitrites are 0.)

Is there any long cottony tuffs from this wound? Or whitish patches with red veins at the base? These would be things to write back now and tell us.
