So I recently just got a nerite snail for my tank since it has been known to have some algae problems in the past. However, I've noticed that a twisted white string/strand will come from the side of its shell. The strand usually breaks off and floats around and I've netted any I find out of my tank. Does anyone happen to know if this is just poop or a parasite where I should remove him from the tank as soon as possible as not to affect my Betta?
