I have a 15 gallon tank that I would like to have only neon tetra's in. How many can I safely fit in it without pushing the stocking limits to the max.
I have a filter that is meant for 30 gallons, if that plays a role.
I previously had a mix of tetras and a few platy's, danios, and swordtails but I have just transfered them into a 25 gallon.
I would like to make this 15 gal. strictly for neon tetra's, so how many can I fit?

I would say 10-12, but maybe 13-14 if it is a longer/wider tank, and not one of the tall 15 gallons. If you really are only putting in neons, you will be fine.

cool... I would throw about 13-14 in it... Cycle it first, then throw in all of the fish... Just make sure it is cycled... The good thing is, if you get them all at once, even if 1 or 2 die, you wont need to add any more to the tank, and you wont have to risk any new diseases from a different batch of fish.

(also, just a thought... Cardinals school much better than neons do... Just a thought...) You could also add 3 or 4 ghost shrimp just to help clean up if you would like.

I haven't seen Cardinals here before. Nor have I seen shrimp. I am pretty limited to what I can get, it's kind of disappointing actually!

That's strange.... No LFS in BC has cardinals?? You can try mail order.
