neon tetra vs jumbo neon tetra

so my last two little 3/4in neon tetras died and I NEED more, but when i go to petssmart they only have labeled 'jumbo neon tetra' which look the same size but are marked as growing to 2 inches....

are these the same thing or do i need to seek out non-jumbo neon tetras?

I believe it is still the Paracheirodon innesi.

sometimes juvenile neon tetras are sold and next to them will be adults labeled as 'Jumbo'..but they are still the same species

so they dont actually grow to 2inches?

If you read up, neons do grow that big occaisionally. Most will be about an inch and a half, but I have one female in my tank that is around 2 inches.
