my neon has been hiding in the corner of the tank for a few days, I worried something is wrong with him, any suggestions ?

Thanks

Is he part of a school and outed himself? I have never owned neon tetras but if you look up neon tetra disease this is a common symptom of the disease. The infected fish will leave the school and go off to die, only problem is in a aquarium setting they aren't really saving the rest of the school from the disease. Usually it knocks out the whole school but doesn't effect any other species of fish in the tank. It's really weird and only happens to the neon tetra.

I hope that isn't the case and he is just

He has two other neon "school" mates (I know this isn't enough I am working on setting up a 75gal so they can have more company). Any other symptoms of this disease ?

Thanks

Kinda large white spots usually appearing near the top dorsal fin. Does he never leave the corner or will he come out to eat?

Just did a quick search of the neon tetra disease, I haven't fed any live food and haven't had any death in the tank for at least a year. Hoping it is not this disease.

Are the neons recent additions? I had picked up a few of them most seemed to be bad stock and died quickly leaving me with 3, 2 stayed together one did his own thing alone alot. I have 8 of them now and they all stick more together.

ETA I doubt its NTD if he's been doing it a few days and not showing any of the other signs of it.
