I just got some plants and am wondering if they are dwarf sagittaria subulatta, sagittaria subulatta, or pygmy chain swords (i.e., Echinodorus Tenellus).

I'm attaching a couple of pics, and the one of the tank is a 20 gallon long for reference on the size of the plants.

Sagittaria Subulata. or dwarf sag that's been growing in low light. But as of now it looks like Sagittaria Subulata.

It's a sag that needs nutrients added.

hey fabsroman, the general consensus is dwarf sag. the "broken glass" appearance is the key to ID'ing it as sag. Sorry, I know you wanted e. tennellus but I got duped as well.

Btw, how do you guys know it needs nutrients? I just pulled them from my "field":

Hey, I wasn't even going to mention where I got the plants from. Personally, I am pretty happy with them regardless of what they are? However, I think the consensus is definitely dwarf sagittaria subulata, so now the only question is whether I want sagittaria subulata or the pygmy chain sword (e.g., echinodorus tenellus). I'm leaning toward the pygmy chain sword.

The plants looked pretty decent to me when I took them out of the bag, but I am going to add some ferts to the aquarium tonight just to give them an extra kick. I use dry ferts in all my tanks and the plants seem to like them.

By the way, thanks for the plants.
