Was at work today, looking through the bulb drawers, when I noticed some rather bright 50 watt MR15 halogen bulbs...
After thinking about it... I was wondering... why not use these as aquarium lights? To match a fluorescent you would need ten (for lumens), and that takes up a smaller footprint...
All I can think of is that they generate a bit of heat, and they might not generate the proper spectra for plant growth...
Any input?
