Besides the German Rams, which someone talked me into and are doing great in my community 50 gallonish tank (not possitive on the size looks similar to 46 gallons at the store, but the guy I got it from said it was a 50).
What other types of cichlids are peaceful for community life (preferably with plants like anubias, crypts, java fern and moss).
I have yellow tail congo tetras,
dojos (which I should move since my fish are breeding but I'm not getting any babies, but I'm getting fat dojos)
currently have a pair boesimani rainbows but could part with them for a gorgeous peaceful cichlid pair or move them
a pair of rams
and a roseline shark
some platies which could also be moved
I was looking (OK drooling) over pictures and discriptions of Ngara flametail peacocks do they really look as pretty as the pictures in real life? Does anybody have more info on their temperment? My school of yellow tail congos are also african and was wondering if they'd make a good group. How many would I need if I go this route?
LOL, and here I vowed when I started fish keeping again not to get any more cichlids, then somebody traded me the rams, and then I saw pictures...
*sigh*
