Moon Lighting

Thats what I heard too, some of my fish (plecs) come out at night, only time I can snap some pictures of some of them like my king tiger.

I got a Current USA Satellite with a moonlight for Christmas. I didn't want the moonlight because I was growing marine invertebrates - my aquarium is freshwater - but I am trying to maintain a proper tropical 12 hour lighting period for the benefit of the fish. The lights turn on about the time the sun comes up and light starts bouncing around the interior of the house, and I can no longer fool the fish into thinking its night. After 12 hours, we're usually still up, and I want to be able to see the fish. That was the point of an aquarium, and that's the time I'm home to enjoy it. The aquarium adds to the atmosphere, as does the moonlight.
