When injecting co2 should you purchase fish that live in the pH of the injection or the pH of the normal tap water.

I wouldn't buy based on pH at all.
but my Hardness or Conductivity which does not get affected by CO2 either way.
If you want to dive into AC history, I think it was Happychem a decade or two that said 'fish cannot read pH'

Also need to add wc water is 6.0
pH after gassing off is 7.6
Injected pH is 6.6
makes sense to go with kh/gh tho.
