I was just wondering if anyone has experience with these foods for their african mbuna cichlids.
I wanted opinions from you guys on here before I go in search of these.

Frozens

Spirulina Brine Shrimp
Mysis Shrimp
Krill

Flake/Pellet

Hikari Cichlid Excel
Hikari Cichlid Complete
Hikari Algae Wafers

Are these ok for them and how often and how much should i be feeding?
Right now i am only feeding them basic cichlid pellets and flake. I know they have a different digestive system than the South american cichlids so I want to switch their foods to the ones listed above, but I want to make sure they are ok to use.

THANK YOU !!!!!!

I would avoid all of these. Mbuna need low protein diets.

Hikari Cichlid Excel-Looks good
Hikari Cichlid Complete-has pretty high protein I wouldn't use this food.
Hikari Algae Wafers-Should be fine

I feed my mbuna kens veggie flakes, kens catfish pellets, NLS and fresh veggies. I feed once a day and usually as much as they can eat in 30seconds. Then once a week I skip a day to let them fast.

Wouldn't it be better to feed lots of small meals instead of one big meal? Since they're herbivores they're probably more equipped to handle lots of small meals right?
