G gzeiger AC Members Mar 16, 2009 40 0 0 Mar 20, 2009 #8 You can put bricks on them to sink them. They'll take up water faster if fully submerged. Bricks are in the neighborhood of 35 cents apiece at Home Depot or Lowe's. I have also found that 20 minutes of boiling makes them sink faster.
