Mantis or Pistol?!?!?

is this a mantis or pistol, just curious before I put it in my tank

From that angle it looks like a Pistol, Mantish shrimp are bigger and are usually brightly colored.

It's a pistol. Its left claw is larger than the right, and the placement of head, eyes and antennae are what you would expect for a pistol shrimp. Plus, you can see an obvious claw, rather than the raptorial appendage that a mantis would have. There are a few pics in the hitchhiker sticky, if that would help.
