Hello, I'm posting the results of my aquarium stand build using all 2x4's, trim, and 1/4 inch plywood. stain and varnish finished it off. It probably took me 10 hours to finish but I split it up among evenings and a weekend.

I used this page for the "design" of the 2x4 layout inside the stand. The doors were made by hand with a piece of plywood, trim, and a miter box to cut the trim 45 degrees. The screws on this website were wrong for 2x4's, go another half inch length from what it had.

Great job!!!

nice job
What is in the tank?

Good job! Looks like the kitty is on guard duty. :)

My parents have that picture too. lol

what is in the tank:

In the tank are 3 damsels (blue, four stripe and a domino), a live rock, a decorative rock I hope the live rock life moves over to (the little live rock was 20 bucks)
About 4 or 5 days into it now with fish. One yellowtail blue damsel died in the first 24 hours, it never started off right I think he was sick to start with, the rest are super lively.

I have a new picture along with a closeup of the live rock, where there is something growing in the middle looks like a couple plant stalks with little grapes growing off it. I looked up information on bubble algae and it doesn't look like that is it as this has a stem they grow off.
