Loaches & aquarium salt?

I just got back into the hobby 1 1/2 years ago. I have clown, polka dot and black kuhli loaches. I am wondering if I should be using aquarium salt? They are all happy and healthy, but I just want the best water quality for them.

I wouldn't use any salt normally with them. Save using it in small dosages for if they ever get sick as it can be used to treat loaches when not many other chemicals can due to there skin.

No need for salt unless you're treating for ich or battling secondary infections.

I agree, loaches are freshwater, they neither need or like salt. Salt should be used as a medication only, gradual addition & removal in a few cases.

I have never used salts in any of my aquariums before, but had to ask.
Like I said, they are happy and healthy and I want the best for them.
