(I didn't put this in the cichlids forum b/c it involves cichlids from several different places, but mods, if you think it should be moved, feel free. ;))
Alright, this is my full list of cichlids that can go in a 20-30g tank... I've had this list for a while and I just wanted to make sure that it was accurate. Let me know of any suggestions, comments, etc. so I can improve this list... if you want to add a fish, than include it's level of aggression, origin and min. tank size. Thanks!

that's a good list you have there!

there are probably some that could be swapped out, like the kribs being swapped for the cons, but other than that it looks pretty good. flag cichlids, depending on which one you are talking about, can live in a 20 long since festivum (flag cichlids) usually only reach around 4 inches.

didnt see firemouth in there though, but thats a quick add to the 30

Just a few comments specifically on tanganyikan cichlids.

A general comment would be add scientific names. I have never seen some of the common ones listed and usually most people use the full latin names or shortened versions of the species name for tangs at least.

Any reason for having julidochromis species as "beware" yet brichardis as "peaceful"? A brichardi in breeding condition can take on most any tang and julies really only show mild aggression when breeding IME.

I think what you have listed as "Bricards cichlid" and "Fairy cichlid" are referring to the same species...Neolamprologus brichardi and pulcher are one in the same.

C. leptosoma ("Blackfin cichlid" and "Leptosoma cichlid") need at leasta 75 gallon for a minimum sized school of the non-jumbo species.

Maybe its the color but "Temporalis cichlid" is SA.

I personally say a 55 gallon minimum for tropheus ("white spotted" and "blunt head cichlid"), as they are naturally found in colonies and should be kept as such in aquariums IMHO.

Lastly, I would add some more shelldwellers such as N. brevis or caudopunct...

Ok thanks you guys! I copied all of the info on these guys from the old AC species database. I'm going to update the list and re-post in a little bit.

AC database is worthless. Use sites like cichlidforum.com instead...

I know that now, but I made this list a few years ago. I'm almost finished adding all of the scientific names (didn't quite realize how many fish were on here..lol...:nilly:) and then I'm just switching a few and adding/removing a couple more (then I'll re-post the list).

Ok, I've made all of the changes you guys suggested, plus I added the Dwarf Flag Cichlid. Any others I can add to this? Any other edits to make? Thanks! (EDIT: I just realized that some are underlined and some aren't but that's just because some of them are hyperlinked to the old AC articles, so I'll see if I can fix that as well).
