L129 Columbian Zebra Pleco Breeding

If he ate them, it's pretty likely they failed for whatever reason. Other than that, I don't have anything useful to add.

In general Pleco dads are good fathers. Are you sure he ate them??

+1 on all said

pleco dads take good care of the fry...

i am pretty sure this applies to all plecos so...

make sure the tank has some substrate...idk why but a few of my baby plecos died when i kept the tank bb...some members told me that adding a thin layer of substrate if there isn't any already helps...i tried and it worked so yea! good luck

u should hopefully get another batch in 1-2 months so no worries!

Congrats on the spawn. There does seem to be at least anecdotal evidence that substrate helps plecos. Driftwood couldn't hurt either.

You might want to just leave everything in place with the next spawn.

^awesome! You got a survivor there, dude.

Congrats on your survivor. My L-129 spawned about six months ago. I removed all the babies and split them (there were six) between a breeder box and a tank with sand. Over time I lost all of them.
Last week I got a new spawn of five babies. I decided to leave them in the tank with the adults. So far they are alive.
