Kribensis breeding age

I have two Kribensis. The male is 1.7" and the female is 1.5". They are probably about 6-7 months old. Every now and then the female shivers next to the male and they show off to eachother frequently. I was wondering if they were of breeding age/size?

most likely yes, they become sexually mature pretty small.

When the female's belly turns purple/pink then she's ready. My female is around 1.5"-2" and she already spawned for me. I tend to choose bigger males because the bigger the male the better their chance to pair off.
