My LFS has some beautiful Yellow Killifish, which I'm assuming is another term for Golden Dream killifish?? Anyway, I was considering getting a pair for my 29 gallon tank, which currently has a young angelfish, guppies, neons, and a bn pleco. I'm concerned about mixing the killifish with the angelfish, though. I've read on some sites that killifish are great community fish, but I've also read on others that killifish can be aggressive. If so, is it just the males who are aggressive? The LFS has white killifish in with the yellow ones, so I'm guessing they have both males and females.

killis can be fin nippers mine were. Plus after trying put new plants in yesterday one of mine seems to enjoy pulling on arm hair and it actually hurt.

I have a male golden wonder killi in my tank, which is probably what your LFS actually has. I also have an angel in my tank as well. The two fish never bother one another.

My golden wonder killi is about 3 inches long. His mouth is huge though, and he could probably eat a neon or a male guppy. Watch out for your angel when she gets big as well.

LOL at the arm hair comment!

I don't have any pics of the killifish. They are smallish; it might be stretching it to call them 3" long right now. Do they get much bigger? I am having difficulty picturing them eating the neons or guppies at this point, but if they do indeed grow larger that could be a problem to consider.

My angel is currently very small, maybe 2", and doesn't bother the neons or guppies. (that pic in my avatar actually isn't the same one; that one died a few days after bringing it home. I bought another one, and have had that one six weeks or so) Eventually I might have to shift the fish around as he/she gets bigger, I have a few other tanks so that wouldn't be a problem.

Also, is it okay to have just one killifish, or are they happier in groups?
