any ideas on what the best way to introduce a female betta in my community tank?

(i trust everyone here ALOT more than i trust the other random websites with betta info):)

I just added mine normally and had no problems. Tank is a 29g, other tank mates are cories, zebra danios, brilliant rasboras and a Bolivian ram ... not sure if that's a typical result, or if I just got lucky. :)

Added one to mind a while back, there were no issues. Stocking is harlequins, danios and cories. You shouldn't have a problem

As long as it's one female, and there are no other female bettas in the tank, you shouldn't have to do anything special.

I agree with the above. If you don't have other bettas, you shouldn't have to do something special. You might if you have gouramis since they are related and sometimes don't get along, but a simple rearrangement of decor to help break up the line of sight and confuse any territories should help.

Bettas can get aggressive with guppies because the long fins make they appear to be competitors. Glad she's settled down.

But where are the pics?!?

:)
