Ok, i dont know what size internal filter i ned for my new tank that im getting tommorow :dance

It measures 48"x15"x15"

Thats 4ftx1.3ftx1.3ftft for anyone who dont know there inches ;)

I THINK i need a filter that filtres 1000 litres an hour, am i correct, is there anyone here that has the SAME size tank that could tell me what filter you are using, thanks!

anyone, please :(

That configuration is UK, uncommon in the USA. Our closest match is the 40-long (48x17+x12, smaller than the tank you mention) or the standard 50 (36x18x18, very slightly larger).

My filtration techniques are non-standard, as I separate bio- and mechanical filtration and I always multi-filter, and only on certain setups use all internals. These are not common filtration techniques, but are what suit me well. Normally I use prefiltered external canisters for biofilters* and internals for mechanical. For both the tanks in that size range that I use, I would operate an Eheim Classic external (2213) with a FilterMaxIII prefilter plus two each internal Eheim internals (2208). But the latter are no longer available.

An alternate combo I use at that size would be OE-RFUG** with two Penguin 1140 powerheads, each with the reverse flow kit, one per UG plate. That would be paired with the same internal Eheims used in the other setup mentioned.
