Pimelodus Pictus just an FYI.
As far as keeping them, they like very clean water with reasonably low TDS levels. They are opportunistic predators that will eat small fish, snails, and shrimp. They are decent but not great about cleaning a tank ( prefer meaty fresh food but will eat scraps) they get about 6" long, they need good hiding places, and room to move/ swim rapidly. I personally wouldn't keep them in less than a 55g tank although a 30 is probably Ok.
They are extremely prone to ich, and will not tolerate medications ( read the ich article if this comes up) Ich is close to impossible to spot on them until it's really bad.
They are skittish high speed spastic and fun to watch when they aren't hiding, but if they don't have somewhere to hide they will be in perpetual stress and it will eventually get the best of them.
