In a 135 gallon community tank I have the following cichlids and catfish :
*1 Oscar
*1 Nicaraguan Cichlid (spelling ??)
*1 Convict
*1 Pleco
*1 Featherfin Catfish (syodontis eupterus)
For filtration I have 1 Filstar XP3, 1 Fluval 304, 1 Penquin 330 - with bio wheel.

This setup is working very well, only with a little chasing done by the Convict to the Nicaraguan. The only change that will occur is the addition of a Fluval 404 once my little fish gain some size.

Hi,

It sounds like you have a nice setup going. How is the Convict doing in there? I would watch him as they can get pretty nasty. Good luck with your tank.

my only advice would be to watch the convict as they are very unpredictable.

Lol. Stupid me. I read the thread title and thought you were selling your stuff. Nice setup though. Your filtration is going to be working hard to keep up with it, but good water changes should make it easily do-able.

I totally agree on watching the Convict! I had two of the in the past and they were very aggressive -- fun to watch their habits, but mean to other inhabitants. They actually decided to breed too, when I was hoping the large Angels would have bred.
