I have set up my first real tank (besides smaller betta tanks).

I have a pool sand substrate, some immature plants (java moss, java fern, bronze crypt, hornwort) and about 10-12 cherry shrimp.

I have two small pieces of wood that I got from Petco. They were in a goldfish tank in the store and I brought them home and scrubbed and boiled them prior to placing in the tank. They are just fine.

The problem is a piece of Mopani wood that I bought dry off the shelf. I boiled it and did a lot of water changes then placed it in the tank. I am having a growth problem with it.

See my thread here if you think you can help!
