hi Vato ,
thanks for the very fast reply , because i will be getting a 120 L tank if i convert that to gallons i get 26 gallons ( uK) that comes out at 260 pounds = 18.5 stone , does that sound about right ??
thanks
Andy

yeah, I'm Canadian and on the metric system as well but I still have no idea how to convert Gallons to liters. Yes that sounds about right, just make sure that what you are putting it on can hold much more than that because it's best to be safe rather than sorry! (learned that one from experience, and believe me a broken tank with fish and glass and water on a second floor is not andeasy problem to deal with!)

fusion, to get the weight on your tank... well, the water anyway, I found a good conversion table that works for all sorts of systems......check it out....

try this:

hi Dangerdoll
thanks for the link to the site , i looked for ages on the net for a site like that , i will bookmark it , seems my 120 L will weight about 18 stone , going to have to check what i put it on very well.
thanks again

it was my pleasure Fusion.... ;) I'm glad I could help. I always wondered if there was anything like that out there too, it's an extremely helpful tool especially when trying to convert liters and gallons... either way. I bookmarked it too! :D

I have a nice little software program (538K) called 'Convert' if someone would like it that does that stuff so you don't have to go online. Just give me your email if you want it.

Ummm... Much easier ;)

the wonders of the metric system is that everything is so simple...

1 Litre of water weights 1KG so a 120L tank would weight 120KG (which does sound like about 18stone)
